As per the State of education report for India 2022 – UNESCO the literacy rate in India is
74.04%, 82.14% for males and 65.46% for females.
Uma Foundation believes that basic unit of transforming the community is education
which is the main objective of the organization. Right to Education, Learning and
Development (emotional, physical and mental) are fundamental human rights of all
children below the age of 18 as per the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of
Child (UNCRC).
