Project Smile

According to the UNDP-Oxford University's report of October 2022, Global Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) 2022, India has 228.9 million people living in poverty—by far the largest number of poor people worldwide.

Through **Project SMILE**, Uma Foundation brings joy and dignity to children from economically weaker sections by celebrating their special moments. We believe every child deserves to experience the happiness of birthdays and festivals, regardless of their economic background.

We celebrate birthdays with cake cutting, distribute snacks like cold drinks, ice cream, patties, and wafers, and give thoughtful gifts. During festivals like **Diwali**, **Holi**, and **Christmas**, we bring the spirit of celebration with candles, diyas, colors, sweets, and special treats.
